Jump Pilot Authorisation (JPA)

Are you interested in flying a Skydiving Jump plane then this is a required course.

Flying skydivers can be a rewarding way to build time, but it demands thorough training and constant attention.

The JPA course generally involves two full days of ground based theory training and 3 hours of flying training and includes sign off for both Australian Parachute Federation (APF) and Australian Skydiving Association (ASA).

Work is also available with Skydive South East Melbourne and Skydive Euroa

Monday 4th and 6th of November at 7:00pm
This will be repeated the following week



Prerequisite for JPA

(a) A valid Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL) or;
(b) A valid private pilot licence (PPL) and have 200 hours total aeronautical experience, of which at 100 hours must be as pilot in command; or
(c) An APF Certificate Class D and a valid private pilot licence and have 120 hours total aeronautical experience of which 70 hours must be as pilot in command;
And must have: 10 hours experience on the particular aircraft type or an aircraft type of similar performance, weight and operational complexity.


If you don't have the required experience we do run a course using Cessna 205/206 that will also include
Maximum performance aircraft operations
Aircraft loading
High altitude operations
CTA operations
Engine management
Use of GPS
and an AFR as part of the flight training course.
